Sam Smith

Sam Smith started her career in publishing at Little, Brown Book Group where she worked across editorial, marketing, publicity and sometimes, accidentally, production. She then spent seven years as the Fiction and Picture Book Publisher at Scholastic UK where she had the pleasure of working with a number of fantastic authors and illustrators, including Liz Pichon, Philip Pullman and Julia Donaldson, before moving to become the Fiction, Non-Fiction and Picture Book Publisher at Macmillan Children’s Books in early 2020. She has an MA in English Literature from King’s College London and an MBA from London Business School.
