Holly Macdonald

Holly is a freelance cover designer, with almost 20 years experience within the publishing industry.

Since graduating from the University of the Arts with a degree in Illustration in 2006, Holly has worked in-house for a number of publishers including Transworld, Bloomsbury and HarperCollins.  While at HarperCollins Holly designed the covers for a range of bestsellers including Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, Babel and Her Majesty’s Royal Coven. In 2024 she was shortlisted for Designer of the Year at the British Book Awards and began her freelance career.
