Holly Macdonald

Holly is a freelance cover designer, with almost 20 years experience within the publishing industry. Since graduating from the University of the Arts in 2006, Holly has worked in-house for a number of publishers including Transworld, Bloomsbury and HarperCollins.  She has designed covers for a range of bestsellers including Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, Babel and Her Majesty’s Royal Coven. In 2024, she was shortlisted for Designer of the Year at the British Book Awards, and in 2026, was longlisted for the inaugural Children’s Book North Network Prize.
