Alison David is Consumer Insight Director at Farshore.   Farshore publishes child-friendly books for all ages and genres, from picture books, fiction and non-fiction by household authors and illustrators – including Michael Morpurgo, Holly Jackson, Tahera Mafi,  Lemony Snicket, Julia Donaldson, Jim Smith, Laura Ellen Anderson, Steven Lenton, Sophy Henn and Michael Grant – to classic properties and the hottest popular culture brands, including Minecraft, Winnie-the-Pooh, Mr. Men Little Miss, Thomas & Friends, Pokemon, My Little Pony and Tintin. Alison has worked with research as a creator, analyst and end user. Her research programme at Farshore includes investigating what it takes to inspire children to read. Her ground-breaking studies include Print Matters, Print Matters More, The Reading Magic Project, Stories and Choices, and The Lockdown Reading Club and Dads Reading. She is the author of Help Your Child Love Reading, which draws on both her research and her experience as a mother.
