A two-day workshop covering the essential skills for publishing. Designed to build confidence at interview, in a first job, on work experience or internship, the course covers pitching and presenting books, numeracy and negotiation for publishers, plus an introduction to metadata.

Suitable for people from all backgrounds looking to get their first job in publishing. You’ll be given a head start in understanding the business and the skill sets that lead to success.

  Discoverability is critical for a book’s success. Metadata makes it possible. Without it, no one will be able to find or buy your book

  Practical advice on how to tailor your CV and prepare for interview
