A great value, 4 day course for people with little or no knowledge of the publishing industry. Or those seeking a refresher. If you’re an intern, school or university leaver, returning to work or changing career, ‘An introduction to publishing’ is the perfect place to start.
‘An introduction to publishing’ aims to give you a comprehensive understanding of the business.
You’ll be given an expert insight into the structure of a publishing house and the main roles within it – editorial and design, production, rights, sales and marketing – with the goal of identifying the right area for you.
It will also provide some valuable skills to help you land that vital first job and an excellent opportunity to meet key figures.
During the week, you’ll be taught by a wide range of professionals in a lively programme of interactive seminars.
On completion, you’ll receive a certificate from University College London to acknowledge your achievement. There are no entry requirements.
We try to keep our fees as low as possible. But we wouldn’t want them to be a barrier. Which is why there are sponsored places available on all our courses.
